DeeDee, thanks for commenting! πŸ™‚ I’m a Film Noir Foundation member, too … I look forward to getting my noir passport every January. It’s like a pilgrimage! πŸ˜‰

I’ll definitely check out the enriched edition of Crime Wave … I love all of Eddie’s commentaries! And thanks for the fedora compliment … that’s a genuine vintage Paramount model in the photo. πŸ˜‰

See you in the dark! πŸ˜‰

    Hi! Kelli Stanley,
This is my first-time post on your blog. And yes, I’am a “card carrying” member of the Film Noir Foundation. Therefore, let me add (The President of the Film Noir Foundation) author Eddie Muller’s wonder “input” on the CrimeWave dvd too!…Oh! yes, I have High Wall and Cornered in my film noir collection too!…Thanks, to other film noir collectors.
Btw, I really like your fedora!
and that great photograph by J.F.
    Thanks,
    DeeDee ;-D

Crime Wave is wonderful, isn’t it? I need to pick up the edition with the commentary … Glenn Erickson and Ellroy sound like a really fun combination.

    Thanks for the comment!

Just saw Decoy and Crime Wave on the same DVD from the library. Great commentary included by James Ellroy and Glenn Erickson.
    Crime Wave photography is outstanding.

Well, I’m intrigued and will look forward to the next. I’m with R.J., go for High Wall. I don’t know much about that one.

I would check out High Wall, just because I’ve seen Vertigo already (still love it though).
