Yes! A Woman’s Face was terrific. It’s one of those films I wish more people would see! I was very surprised at how good it was the first time I saw it. It is one of my favorite films.

Bette does get more acclaim, and to be honest – I think she’s usually overacting, and I can’t take her serious. But that’s just my opinion…

    Great blog you have here!

Thanks so much, Dulcette! (I love your name, btw!) 🙂

I honestly prefer Joan to Bette (though I love Bette, too) … but Bette seems to get much more acclaim as an actress in the popular imagination.

    I’m just so glad to meet a fellow fan–and wasn’t A Woman’s Face terrific?

    Take care,

    Kelli

Bravo! I enjoyed reading this SO much! I am a huge Joan fan, and I too believe she was a great actress and doesn’t get the credit she deserves.

Sudden Fear is a fabulous film, A Woman’s Face and etc!
